18 week sonogram

The 18 week sonogram was very fun. We got an 8 minute video to take home of our peanut. He or she was very active the entire time, kicking its legs, moving its arms, and even waving to us, believe it or not! We saw a couple of yawns or drinks being taken and got to see the little tongue. The sonographer told us the brain is very large, which must mean it is a girl. It took us a couple of seconds to figure out that was a joke. :-) The visit was all good news. All the body parts were formed correctly and in the right places. 10 fingers, 10 toes, great spine, and word for word, a "beautiful placenta". I will take credit for that. The monitor was turned away from us when she did the "between the legs" check. So, as we wished, we are still in the dark on that subject. Unfortunately the video is too large in size to put on this website....too bad, because it's pretty cute. Or we think so, anyway!
