Here are a couple of pictures of London and her pal Ryder from a couple of weeks ago. They just loved playing together in Ryder's playpen. They shared well together!
London has mastered crawling and pulling up now. Long gone are the days where we could leave her be on the rug for a bit. Babyproofing is a slow process. So far all we've done is plug up some of the electrical outlets. She pretty much stays in the family room or kitchen when she explores. She's tried going into the formal living once but seemed uninterested. She has started letting go when she pulls up in the last few days. I saw her stand on her own for about 3 seconds before she plopped to the floor. We've had a few face plants on the hardwoods, but luckily, nothing major. I'm going to bet she's walking by ten months. At first I thought she may at 9 months, but I just don't see it happening within a few more weeks. She's got a couple of different crawls. One is the "skip scoot", where she skips the left leg out to the side, straight, and scoots on her right knee pulled underneath. She also crawls with both her knees tucked underneath too. I have noticed that the skip scoot is normally on the wood floors, and the knee crawl is on the rugs. Smart girl! Probably is more comfortable to scoot on wood.
James bought London 2 Baby Einstein videos to watch on TV. She loves them. They teach English, Spanish, and French. We are learning too! I can say "dog" in 3 languagues now. Very impressive.
London is up to just under 17 lbs now. No idea how long she is - we'll find out next month at the 9 month checkup. She is very petite! She is still doing a ton of babbling and jabbering. Her reportoire of consonant sounds is growing. Still waiting to hear "mama".
