June pics

Here are some various pictures from the last week. Sadly, I think this will be the last week of wear for the Texas Tech onesie. Now that she is 9 months old, we will definitely have to pass on this 3-6er. I will make sure the team we pick for the 9-12 month onesie are the Horns.

London is talking more and more now. We hear "lalala", "bababa", "thaththathtah", "dadadadadada" a lot. Also "whoihoihoihoihoi" is new.

New developments: When London falls, drops something, or hurts herself, we say "ah-oh", and then she repeats it back. Sometimes we just say it for fun....we will all "ah-ohhhhhh" back and forth, which seems silly when I say it out loud to myself. We think it's fun though. :-)

London is crusing around the furniture with ease now. Will we have a walker by 10 months? Only time will tell. One thing for sure...this girl is a CLIMBER. She climbs the pillows on the couch, climbs us, and anthing else she can find. I am afraid she will be the type to climb out of the crib often once she figures it out.

I had my first "bad mommy" mess-up. Tried giving her Gerber stage 3 chewable food. She has two teeth, and the jar said it was for "learning how to chew". We got the bib on, got the video camera out, gave her her first spoonful of Herbed Chicken and Pasta, with what looked to be little orzo pieces and 2 centimeter pieces of soft carrot. Video, roll. GAG! CHOKE! We had to turn her over and pat her back firmly to get the pieces out of mouth. Note to self....not ready for Gerber stage 3. Not even close.

London will go to her 9 month checkup on 9/15. We weighed her last night in the buff.....16 lbs, 15 oz. She's held steady at that weight for a couple weeks now. She's a petite little thing, but don't let her fool you; she eats like a horse!

London sounds a lot like Nate was developmentally. He walked at about 10 months. Get ready to convert that crib to a toddler bed. We didn't give Nate a chance to climb out, we converted it between 13 and 15 months I think. He was sleeping in a full sized by at 18 months.
