Well people....she did it. She is walking before her first birthday. It all started a week or two ago with one step. Now we're up to 6 to 8 feet of walking at a time. I'm sure by the big bash she'll be walking all over the place. The baby gates are now a total necessity.
Other new developments:
Saying "hi", waving "hi" and "bye", lots more high fives, on her own, without being prompted for it. I walk in her room in the morning at 6 - 7am for the first feeding and I am greeted with a smile and a high five - really cute.
"Thank you" is her newest....it sounds more like "dhan duu", but if you thank her, she'll thank you back. So fun!!! This is such a sweet age....
Stranger danger is in full force. All of a sudden, London won't go to familiar people she used to go to all the time. She turned down some family hugs over the weekend from familiar aunts, and even turned down one of her favorite teachers the other morning at daycare when I dropped her off. I tried handing her over to the sweet worker that she usually bonds with on a daily basis, and she clung to me like a monkey, squealed, and turned her whole body towards me. They literally had to pry her from my ams.
Kisses! London will sometimes give a sweet kiss if you lean in and say "kiss!". She opens her mouth and just lays it on ya.
Hopefully we can get some more pictures up this week - I've been swamped!
