Update

London is almost 21 months old and awaits her new baby sister, who will arrive in approximately 9 more weeks. We are all very excited about the upcoming day - over the next week or two we will be transitioning London to her new room - pictures to come.

Some of you who follow the blog may have noticed that there have not been many posts lately. My mother had a brain tumor removed on April 12th. She spent two weeks in the ICU/hospital, and then moved to an accute rehab center for three weeks. The brain tumor that was removed was 100% sucessful, but I am very sad to say that the surgery has left her with many problems that we pray she will overcome someday. She is unable to move much of the left side of her body, stand, or walk.

We are very excited to announce that she has just been accepted at a wonderful brain trauma rehabilitation center in Irving, Texas. She stays in a house type residence with 12 other brain trauma patients - all ranging from motorcycle accidents, car accidents, strokes, and brain surgeries.

They are transported by wheelchair bus every morning at 9am, where they endure a rigorous 6 hour treatment program of speech therapy, occupation therapy, physical therapy, and fun activities. Therapy ends each day at 3pm, and then they go back to the house for dinner and evening activities. My mom needs lots of prayers from family and friends that she may someday be able to stand up or walk again. We are not sure how long she will be at Pate rehab, but we know that this is the absolute best place for brain injured patients...thank you to all my friends who have been praying for us. Please keep it coming!!!
